Four Children Burnt To Death As Nigerian Staff Goes Shopping Locking Them Inside Daycare
A daycare worker left four kids alone at home while she went shopping, During the time she was outside, a fire broke out and sadly killed four kids and seriously injured three others.
24-year-old Jessica Tata from Texas, is facing life in prison for the death of the four young kids who were left in her care.
Prosecutors allege that she went shopping at Walmart while leaving her daycare children home alone, when a fire broke out killing four young children. Tata was seen on the security cameras shopping at Walmart. It is believed that the fire started after Tata left a frying pan with oil on a stove while she went out to run errands.
Two days after the incident, Tata fled to Nigeria. She was later arrested and extradited to the United States after a joint effort of the U.S. Marshals and Interpol.
The fire killed Shomari Dickerson, Kendyll Stradford, Elias Castillo and Elizabeth Kajoh, all less than three years old. Three other children in her care were left in critical condition and they were taken to the Shriner’s burn hospital.
Tracy Storms, who lost her grandson Shomari in the fire, told reporters: "Sorry, there is no forgiveness for anyone who makes an income watching children and has an audacity to leave them alone even for a second. I don’t understand how this woman can look herself in the mirror knowing that she destroyed seven children."
This women is just a careless living dead.... -

Gov Fashola stops his aides from organising elaborate 50th birthday party
"By nature I am not a ceremonious person. I don't like all the noise and partying. When I saw all the plans going on for my 50th, I said no. If this is my day, then those who really love me should allow me do it the way I want to. I have told my aides how I feel about this whole 50th birthday celebration. I asked them if governors in other countries don't have their birthdays and is it usually in such a loud way and manner? If I do it my own way it won't cost me that much to receive my visitors. I funded my 40th birthday when I was Chief of Staff and it cost me so much. I am not quite sure I can do the same now. As a Governor, it will cost me more. I am not sure I want to spend that kind of money on parties. And to tell you the truth, the idea that probably I will have a birthday at tax payers expense is something that does not go down well with me, and it's only for 24 hours. So I am going to have a very quiet and simple day with close friends and family.

Photo Proof That Kim and Kanye Named Their Baby ‘North West’
After news broke that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their daughter “North,” Internet commenters refused to believe it. Here’s proof.
The birth certificate, obtained first by TMZ, indicates that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, 32, and her rapper boyfriend, 36, welcomed their daughter on June 15 in L.A. Though many outlets were reporting that the baby would have the middle name Donda after West’s late mother, the birth certificate indicates no middle name.
Kardashian was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, Calif., after she prematurely went into labor last week. Since giving birth, Kardashian has kept a low profile, though she’s apparently loving her new role as mom.
“[The baby is] doing great and she’s beautiful,” Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner has said. “We’re all fine. We’re all good and extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby.”

CHIEF JUDGE EXTOLS OBI AT COMMISSIONING OF JUDGES’ QUARTERS
In what appears to be a fulfillment of Governor Peter Obi’s promise to bring revolution to Anambra State through execution of critical projects, the Governor yesterday handed over to the State Judiciary, the ultra modern residential quarters built for them at Onitsha.

He said that the hand over represented the first time Anambra State was witnessing such a gesture since the State was created 22 years ago.

Justice Umeadi recalled that just a few days ago, the governor visited him in his office at Awka to look at the court premises with the aim of determining their needs and how the government will help them. For better and quicker dispensation of justice, he said a new Judiciary Division was in the process of bring created.

The governor said the support for the judiciary was borne out of the realization that a functional judiciary was necessary for peace and order in the society.

Police declare ex-deputy governor of Lagos state wanted for fraud
The SFU alleged in a statement on
Wednesday that the suspect and her son, Samson, obtained money from the
victim by false representation.
The Commissioner of Police for the
command, Tunde Ogunsakin, said, “The victim alleged that in September
2011, the suspects conspired and sold a parcel of land at Plot 24 Block 4
situated at Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos for N130m which he paid
into the first suspect’s account with the Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
He further stated that after payment,
he requested title document and Alhaja Ojikutu procured an affidavit of
support to back her fraudulent claim, a police crime extract and a
publication in a newspaper all purporting to loss of the original
documents of title to the land.
The victim believed her because of her
personality as the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State.
“The bubble burst when the victim
commenced development of the land and was on the verge of completion
when the bona fide owner of the land surfaced and indeed it was
discovered that the land the suspect sold did not belong to her. She
actually sold Plot 23 Block 4 while Plot 24 Block 4 already has a
property on it.”
According to police investigation, the
land Ojikutu sold, did not belong to her, but to one Mr. Afolabi. It
was also discovered that the Plot 24 Block 4, which actually belonged to
Alhaja Ojikutu’s late husband, Samson Ojikutu (senior), was sold by him
in 1995 and the suspect was a life witness and appended her signature
to the sale of the land.
Ogunsakin said the suspect further
perpetrated the crime by alleging that the original Certificate of
Occupancy to the property was missing and swore an affidavit which
enabled her to obtain a police report and memorandum of loss. She also
put up an advert in newspapers that the original C of O was lost,
whereas the original C of O was with the Hallmark Homes, the buyer of
the property.
He said, “The suspect, who is a
67-year-old retiree from Lagos Island, allegedly connived with her son,
Samson, who is currently in the United States to commit the fraud. The
suspect and her son were parties to the sale of the land and both signed
the agreement given to the complainant and obtained the sum of N130m
from him.
“She admitted committing the crime but
confessed that it was a genuine mistake of plot identification. She
refunded the sum of N50m to the complainant and promised to refund the
balance as soon as she disposed of her two properties she put up for
sale. She also confessed that she had invested the victim’s money in
her business.
“She equally made an undertaking and
payment plan which was drawn from September, 2012 and was to terminate
by November 2012, but she defaulted.”
Ogunsakin stated that the suspect was
not willing to abide by the terms of payment and had jumped bail. He
added that all attempts to contact her had proved abortive.
“The SFU declares Alhaja Ojikutu wanted.
Anybody with useful information regarding her whereabouts should report
to the Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit, 13 Milverton Road,
Ikoyi,” he said.
