Obi, Orji Commend the Opening of Nigerian Consulate in Guangzhou, China

Gov. Peter Obi and his Abia State counterpart, Theodore Orji have commended the opening of Nigerian Consulate in Guangzhou, China, describing it as apt and strategic decision that would assist Nigerians living in that part of China, which, according to them, is where most Nigerians, especially the gregorian Igbos live and do business. They said this yesterday in Beijing while speaking to the press, during the meeting of Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan with the Nigerian community in China at the Embassy in Beijing as part of the President's state visit to the country. Gov. Peter Obi was part of his delegation as well as Gov. Theodore Orji.

Gov. Obi who decried the number of our people running into trouble in China, called on them to be good Ambassadors of Nigeria and help in marketing the positive attributes of the country in line with President Jonathan's vision of transforming the country, both economically and in value reorientation. He expressed optimism that the new Consulate will help Nigerians in China in many ways, including facilitating the movement of Chinese people who are interested in investing in Nigeria. Obi encouraged them to market Nigeria, including the South-East as investment destination, housing the biggest market in Nigeria and inhabited by highly entrepreneurial people.

Obi was joined by his Abia state counterpart in inviting our people in China to think home always by partnering with serious investors for the development of Nigeria, especially through foreign direct investment and the contributions of ideas for the development of the country.

In his own remarks, the leader of Anambra people in China, Mr. Anthony Okafor , who said he was in Anambra State a few weeks ago to make donation to the people affected by the last year flood disaster on behalf of Anambra people resident in China, said he was impressed by the development at home. He said that he had briefed the people of tremendous development taking place in all sectors: roads, health, education, industrialization, among others and that they now appreciate the need of assisting a Government that was focused on providing the needs of the people.

With both Governors for the trip are president General of South-East Traders, Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo; his Vice, Chief Gozie Akudolu and President, Aba Chambers of Commerce, Chief Eleanya Okoroj

Amazing Discovery on Planet Mars: NASA Finds Message From God on Mars

mars-rover-landing-sequence-landed_57831_600x450-e1370802150752-257x166

NASA announced today that its Curiosity Rover has found an unambiguous message from God written on tablets in a Martian cave.According to an official press release two giant stone slabs the size of small elephants were located deep inside a cavern abutting Aeolis Mons, a large mountain.Upon one tablet is a copy of the Ten Commandments and the text of John 3:16 written in 12 languages – including English, Spanish, Chinese, Basque and Hebrew. On the other tablet is a simple message in English reading “I am real.”
According to top scientists who have studied the discovery extensively, these findings may have definitively established Christianity as the one true religion.”This is amazing,” says Syms Covington, an Australian researcher working for NASA’s Mars Exploration Program. “We went into the cave looking for water, and we found…proof of God’s existence instead.”I mean how else did those tablets get there? I can tell you one thing: there’s not a single atheist inside NASA’s control room now. What we saw was jaw-dropping.”
Genesis 1:1
NASA’s Curiosity rover arrived on Mars in August of last year with a mission to explore the Martian climate and geology for signs for habitability. Thus far the mission has been a success, with the discovery of an ancient seabed and chemicals needed for life suggesting that Mars was once suitable for life. However the tablets, both of which are signed “Peace and Love – Yahweh,” represent the rover’s most significant find to date, and is perhaps the most important scientific event in history.
“When people find out about this, they will demand change in our society,” explains a political scientist at Georgetown University. “Democracy will have to give way to theocracy. We’re gonna have to build more churches and reintroduce prayer into schools. Abortion is defiantly going to be illegal within a few months.”Despite its potential significance, Covington fears that the Earth-shattering discovery may not make the impact it should.”Unfortunately, the mainstream media is so anti-Christian, they might not even pick up this story,” he explains. “But God is real. We have proof. And everyone deserves to hear the truth.”    Source

Man tortures 13 year old son to death, buries corpse

From PUNCH
A 34-year-old man, Arogundade Ahmed, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly flogging his son to death.
According to eyewitnesses, Arogundade tortured his 13-year-old son, Qudus, to death because Qudus broke into someone’s house and attempted to steal.
Arogundade was said to have killed his son in the presence of his little sister, Sherifat.
After killing the boy, Arogundade dug a grave and buried him in front of his house in Alogba Estate area of Ikorodu. (Above photo - Arogundade’s house. Circle, the grave)
Our correspondent, who visited the crime scene, learnt that the incident occurred on June 27, 2013.
It was leant that the deceased was an apprentice at a mechanic workshop in the area.
A senior police officer at Ipakodo Police Division, who craved anonymity, said, “We were told that on the said date, Qudus broke into the house of one Apoti Lateef and attempted to steal. Lateef raised the alarm, accosted the boy and then called his (Qudus) master, Idowu Gabriel.

“Gabriel and Lateef said they tied up the boy and then called his father to take him away.”
Our correspondent learnt that Arogundade took the boy home and then beat him up with barbwire, sticks and other objects for about five hours.
As the beating continued, Qudus started getting weak and later died.

According to eyewitnesses, on seeing that Qudus had given up the ghost, Arogundade called a grave digger to bury his corpse.

An eyewitness, Adekunle Adekoya, told PUNCH Metro that no one could intervene when Arogundade was beating up his son because Arogundade was a hot-tempered man.
He said, “He (Arogundade) is hot-tempered. When he brought his son home around 12pm, he beat him till about 5pm. The boy kept on screaming and we could do nothing to save him because we did not want his trouble.

“Some neighbours were also around at the time but no one wanted to interfere. After sometime, the boy just went unconscious. We did not know he was dead. It was when I saw a man digging a grave in front of Arogundade’s house around 7.30pm that I knew the worst had happened.
“I immediately called the Lagos State Emergency telephone number but no one came.”
The traditional leader of the community, Oludapo Sule, said he reported the matter to the police as well as members of the Oodua People’s Congress.

He said they were able to apprehend Arogundade at midnight.
He said, “I received an anonymous call on the day of the incident and the caller told me that a man had killed and buried his son in front of his house. I was able to meet with the landlords in the area, who confirmed the incident to me

“So, at midnight, he was picked up and taken to the police station. The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba and I have written my statement.”
Sule however urged the police to ensure that Qudus’ corpse was exhumed and given proper burial.
Chairman, Alogba Estate and Palapo Town Community Development Association, Mr. Agboola Aluko, said Arogundade had been terrorising the community for quite some time.
He said Arogundade had inflicted machete cuts on Qudus before and had even threatened to kill members of the community.
He said, “Arogundade had beaten Qudus with a machete before and even almost killed his wife. That was why she divorced him. Even when he was being arrested, he threatened to deal with anyone who spoke against him.

“I have settled many disputes in this area caused by Arogundade. Even women in the area are scared of him. We have reported his bad behaviour to the police before.”
Arogundade, however, said he did not kill his son. He said his son was merely beaten after he was accosted for stealing.

The police statement on the incident read, “Upon his arrest, Arogundade said he did not kill his son. He said he (Qudus) was almost dead when Lateef and Gabriel handed him over. He said his son died soon after and then buried his corpse in front of his house and went to bed.

The police source said, “We have also arrested Lateef and Gabriel but they claimed they only tied up the boy and did not kill him. Investigations are ongoing.”

When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said she would call back.
