Uche Ogbodo Fires Hot Words at Afrocandy For Inviting Her to Act a Porn Movie

Uche Obodo
Uche Obodo
Below is the statement she sent out yesterday evening…
I, Uche Ogbodo, emphatically state that I am an actress and not a porn star. The fact that I was just experimenting and having fun with the ‘Lady Gaga’ red hair photo shoot is not an excuse for the likes of AfroCandy to insult me.
If I ever decide to strip in a movie, trust me, it’d be worth it like Halle Berry did in Monster’s Ball and Swordfish. Right now I am in talks with a reputable artiste management outfit to represent me and re-invent myself.

Laide Bakare Was Sleeping Around While we Were Still Married – Ex-Husband Alleges

laide
Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare’s breakup with her husband may have taken another twist with some revelations rolling in from her ex-husband. It would be recalled that Laide got married years back to an American based man. They have a daughter together.
A couple of days back, Laide disclosed through her publicist that she was managing the wedding and that her ex was a liar and a polygamist hence her moving out of the marriage to marry another rich dude, Tunde Oriowo. Her ex has made harsh revelations about her. He said she’s a whore and can’t ever be a good mother to her daughter.
On the allegation of the man being a polygamist, he said, “how could I have married two women legally in Nigeria? I should be in Jail by now because there is a law that condemns such an act”.
How come she has not gone to court but the media for separation? Separation can only come through the court.
American government gave Laide Green card because she is legally married to me, we had a court marriage in Nigeria also. When she was supposed to be a faithful wife, she would leave her matrimonial home to stay with married men in Lagos, all in the name of being an actress or career.
I couldn’t monitor her because I am not always in Nigeria. In fact, there was a time she left our baby, Similoluwa with me for eight months in America in the name of career, I had become a nursing father. I have been trying to manage my home the way I could.
Under this sector, the man doubts the paternity of their only product, Similoluwa, and he’s said that his doctor may have to carry out a DNA test to put the record straight.
“I have made up my mind that my doctor should begin the process of DNA of our daughter to know who is the father, whether Mr. Tunde Oriowo or myself. As we speak, she brought Similoluwa back to Nigeria illegally and as we speak, the child is under her mother’s care”.
We are yet to hear Laide’s response to these allegations

Kayode Fayemi/Segun Oni Final Showdown Today

oni
Ekiti State Police Command has beefed up security across the state as the people wait anxiously for the Supreme Court judgment on Friday (today) in the appeal instituted by ousted Governor Segun Oni of the Peoples Democratic Party against Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The Ekiti Police Public Relations Officer said on Thursday that, the command had deployed its men in strategic points across the state.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sotonye Wakama, had held a meeting with leaders of various political parties in the state to ensure that there would be no breakdown of law and order.
Oni’s appeal is the fallout of the dispute resulting from the conduct of April 14, 2007 governorship election and the rerun poll held on April 25 and May 5, 2009 after Oni’s election was nullified by the Court of Appeal in Ilorin in February 2009.
The Court of Appeal panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami in Ilorin had on October 15, 2010 sacked Oni from office.
Oni, however, six months after, returned to the Court of Appeal in Ado Ekiti asking the court to set aside the judgment which removed him from office.
He claimed that there was a likelihood of bias in the verdict which removed him from office because of alleged cordiality between Salami and the National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.
He said Salami ought to have excused himself from the case since Tinubu was his “close associate.”
Will Oni return or Fayemi remains the governor of Ekiti state? It will be decided today.

Angry Fellow Slams Lynxx With N10 Million Law Suit

lynxx
Nigerian hip hop artiste, and Pepsi ambassador, Chukie Edozie, aka Lynxx is facing litigation at Igbosere Magistrates’ court for allegedly beating up a UK-based Nigerian businessman, Richard Bennet.
Bennet is asking for N10m damages for assault and battery because Lynxx and his crew reportedly caused body injuries to Bennet in a fracas at a Lagos night club, Ntycee Lounge and Restaurant. The claimant, who was said to own two bars in Nigeria and the UK, in his claims, explained that he had gone to Ntycee with his nephews to relax.
He said it was while strolling around the club that his drink spilled on a lady who allegedly slapped him and emptied the content of her glass cup on him. Bennet said, “Edozie on learning what had happened, grabbed me by the lapel, and later broke bottles and threatened to kill me if I did not apologise to the lady who I later learnt was his relation.”
The fracas led to the club being closed by the owners of the bar. Bennet alleged that Edozie and his men waited at the gate, regrouped and forced themselves into the club where they “brutally assaulted me with several blows to my head and body.” A copy of the medical report from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where the claimant was admitted said, he was seriously beaten up by a group of people, and was hit with iron rod in the head, with severe pain and bruises over his body. The counsel for the claimant, Mrs. Tina Wils-Ubong, of the Festus Keyamo Chambers, however said Edozie had been served papers inviting him to answer to the offence, which he refused to accept or acknowledge. She said the Keyamo Chambers was still making efforts to serve the defendant papers.
Wils-Ubong informed the court of the Chambers intention to file an ex parte. The magistrate, Mrs. A.F Botoku, however, said it might not be necessary as the court had written the state Citizen’s Mediation Centre, where the matter could be resolved between the two men; and if this failed, it would be returned to the court. None of the parties to the matter was in court, except the counsel for the claimant. The matter was adjourned till July 2.

Boko Haram claims victories over military

The leader of Islamist extremist group Boko Haram claims in a video obtained by AFP on Tuesday that Nigerian soldiers have retreated during an ongoing military offensive and insurgents have sustained little damage.
The video marks the first public comments from Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau since the start of a sweeping offensive by the Nigerian army on May 15 and also includes a call for foreign Islamists to join the fight in Nigeria.
A video grab made on March 21, 2013 from a video distributed to reporters by purported intermediaries of the Islamist group linked to Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, shows the suspected leader of the Nigerian Islamist group linked to Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Imam Abu Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Abubakar Ash Shekawi, also known as Abubakar Shekau, at an undisclosed location in Nigeria. AFP
AFP
Shekau’s whereabouts cannot be determined in the video, in which he is shown seated while dressed in camouflage with a turban, an AK-47 at his side.
His comments contradict statements from the military, which has claimed major successes during the offensive, including the destruction of Boko Haram camps and dozens of arrests.
It has been impossible to verify the claims of either side independently, with the military having cut mobile phone service in much of the country’s northeast and access to remote locations restricted.
“Since we started this ongoing war which they call state of emergency … in some instances soldiers who faced us turned and ran,” Shekau said in the hour-long video.
He claimed Nigerian forces “threw down their arms in flight.”
He called on like-minded Islamists in countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to join the fight to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.
“We call to us our brethren in these countries I mentioned. Oh! Our brethren, come to us,” he said in the video, which alternates between Arabic and the Hausa language spoken across northern Nigeria.
The video later purports to show vehicles and weapons seized from Nigerian soldiers.
Shekau, designated a global terrorist by the United States last year, repeats earlier statements that Boko Haram “will not stop the kidnap of your women and children until you set free our women and children, and our brethren.”
He also says Boko Haram’s goal is either the creation of an Islamic state or “martyrdom”.
The video was delivered to AFP though an intermediary in a manner similar to previous Boko Haram messages. The images of Shekau in the video are consistent with those previously released.
Nigeria launched the offensive against Boko Haram after President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in three states in the country’s northeast, the Islamist insurgents’ stronghold.
Several thousand troops were deployed and fighter jets hit alleged Boko Haram camps.
On May 20, the military said it had re-established control in five remote areas of the northeast where Islamist insurgents had seized territory.
It had also claimed the arrests of 120 suspected insurgents.
The military’s latest statement says 25 insurgents were arrested and three killed during operations at the weekend, including one identified as “Abba” included on a most-wanted list. One soldier was also killed, it said.
“Troops of the special forces have intercepted messages sent to fleeing insurgents urging them not to give up but fight to the end,” the statement said.
“The attempt by some of them to heed the call was foiled during the weekend as they were trailed to some settlements and towns towards the border where they plan to regroup.”
Last week, the military also said it had freed three women and six children abducted by Boko Haram.
Nigeria’s government has also pledged to release certain suspects held in connection with the insurgency as a peace gesture, including all women and children.
Boko Haram has waged its insurgency since 2009, with an estimated 3,600 people left dead, including killings by the security forces.
The group has pushed for the creation of an Islamic state in Africa’s most populous nation and largest oil producer, though its demands have repeatedly shifted.
It is believed to include various factions with differing aims.
Nigeria’s military has come under heavy criticism over its response to Boko Haram, including allegations of extra-judicial killings, arbitrary arrests and unlawful detentions.

FOA!! So El-Rufai’s Daughters Are Unemployed

elrufai
Former Federal Capital Territory minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, on Thursday bemoaned the spate of unemployment in the country, saying despite his connections, he had yet to secure jobs for his two daughters, who are both holders of Masters Degrees.
El-Rufai said this while delivering a lecture at the Sixth Annual Alao Aka-Bashorun Lecture, organised by the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch.
The former minister, whose lecture was entitled ‘Impunity, Injustice and Insecurity: What Role For The Law’, said Nigeria needed to create three million jobs yearly to tackle its employment problem.
He said, “Forty-two per cent of Nigerian youths are unemployed. I have two daughters with Masters Degrees and they are unemployed. They have been at home for more than a year and I cannot get a job for them”.

Jay Z Speaks on Beyonce’s Pregnancy Rumours

bey
Rapper, Jay Z, has denied reports of his wife, singer Beyonce’s pregnancy.
Last week, entertainment channel, E! “confirmed” through its website rumours of the songstress and mother of one’s second pregnancy. E! based its report on information from undisclosed sources close to the singer.
Rumours of the probability of Beyonce carrying her second child had started when the singer, who is currently on an European, had cancelled an appearance in Belgium due to “exhaustion and dehydration.”
The singer wrote a personal handwritten letter in which she apologised for disappointing for her fans and stated that it was “first time she had ever had to cancel a show.”
The internet was soon awash with rumours of a possible arrival of a sibling for Blue Ivy, first child of Beyonce and Jay Z.
