Anyone know who Kenya Moore's seeing in Lagos?

I'm sure you all are wondering why this is news...well, the former Miss USA and Real Housewives of Atlanta star is dating an African prince. She confirmed this to Wendy Williams on her show a few weeks back. But the thing is, people are speculating that the African prince is actually a Nigerian. When Wendy asked Kenya if her African prince was one of the Alakija sons, she coyly said no. The prince may not be an Alakija...but he's most likely Nigerian.

Kenya was in Nigeria a few times last year and is heading to Lagos as you read this. She posted a pic of her boarding pass on her instagram page a few hours ago. Anyone know who she's seeing in Lagos?

Central African Republic Soldiers lynched a man: PHOTOS

A group of soldiers in the Central African Republic lynched a man they suspected was a rebel minutes after hearing the new president’s promise to restore security at a ceremony to reinstate the divided country’s armed forces.
About 20 uniformed soldiers accused a member of the crowd of having belonged to Seleka – the mostly Muslim rebel group that seized power in a coup last March, before stabbing him repeatedly until he was dead.
A soldier stamped on the lifeless body, which was then dragged nearly naked through the streets as residents looked on and took photographs. Continue…

Ten minutes earlier the new interim president, Catherine Samba-Panza, stood just 20m away where she addressed a crowd of at least 1,000 soldiers.
The Army effectively disappeared during nine months of Seleka rule. She told the gathering at a training ground in the capital Bangui: ‘Within a month, I would like to fully secure the greater part of the country and I aim to stick to my word.’
Seleka disbanded after Samba-Panza’s inauguration last month and is deeply resented by the Christian majority after months of lootings and killings.
Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director at Human Rights Watch in Bangui, tweeted that the corpse of the lynched man had been burned.
He posted a photograph showing a man holding up a severed limb next to a bonfire, as an armed French soldier gestured in the background.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • A group of students have launched a campaign to break down stereotypes about Africa
  • The campaign features images of students wrapped in the flag of their country
  • The photographs are accompanied by quotes debunking myths about Africa
(CNN) -- They say there are no stupid questions -- or are there?
How about, "Do you speak African?" Or, "What is Africa's flag?"
Yes, these are quite ludicrous. Tired of regularly having to answer questions like these, a group of U.S.-based African students has launched a photo campaign in a bid to dispel misconceptions about their continent.
Called "The Real Africa: Fight the Stereotype," the social media initiative aims to educate and raise awareness about the common stereotypes surrounding Africa and its people -- misunderstandings like Africa being a homogenous entity rather than a diverse continent of more than 50 countries.

The campaign features striking images of the members of the African Students Association of New York's Ithaca College wrapped in different African flags or holding them proudly.
"We wanted to show the beauty and the power of the flag. We also wanted to break one of the biggest misconceptions about the continent, which is that Africa is a country," says Bunatal. "What we wanted to do was embrace the individual flags of the countries of Africa," says Rita Bunatal, head of PR for the organization. "We wanted to show the beauty and the power of the flag. We also wanted to break one of the biggest misconceptions about the continent, which is that Africa is a country," she adds.
For each photograph, the posing students, aged 18 to 21, were also asked to come up with simple but powerful quotes that would disprove the ignorant and offensive remarks they would often hear.
As a result, the images boast statements like "Africans do not all look alike," "Africans don't need to be saved," "Africa is not a country" and "Africa is not a land filled with diseases." In addition, the campaign is saturated with educational facts that are designed to strengthen the students' quotes -- "I don't speak 'African' because 'African' is not a language" says one student, his declaration accompanied by the fact that "there are an estimated 2,000 languages spoken in Africa."
The participants, aged 18 to 21, posed with different flags from across the continent.
What we wanted to do was embrace the individual flags of the countries of Africa.
Rita Bunatal, African Students Association, Ithaca College
"We wanted to give facts, to correct, to give knowledge," says Bunatal, "trying to educate and stop people from saying these other things."
The African Students Association of Ithaca College first posted their photo campaign on CNN's iReport platformon January 20. Since then, some 5,000 people have viewed the photos and more than 2,000 have shared them on Facebook.

"The simplest actions can create awareness and we are hoping to do this not only campus-wide, but also world-wide," says Bunatal.

Will President Jonathan go on exile for unfulfilled promise of a second Niger bridge? By John Okiyi Kalu

Chido Nwangwu's photo.

No single bag of cement has yet been mixed for construction of the second Niger Bridge you promised since 2011 with a completion within the 2015 deadline. I remembered the news report published 31/8/12 with the caption: "I will go on exile if I don’t build Second Niger Bridge —President Jonathan".

Sir, respectfully, it appears your enemies are finally going to send you on that “exile.” While I pray it doesn't happen, I don't see how that bridge will be ready in less than 15 months to the end of your tenure. USAfricaonline
